Django Djunkies

The Django Djunkies play music known as Gypsy Swing or Gypsy Jazz. This is a style of music from the 1920s and ongoing which is based on a European interpretation of early jazz and jazz standards in combination with European influenced styles and new compositions. Django Reinhardt and Stephan Grappelli were early proponents of this style and modern performers such as Bireli Lagrene and Stocholo Rosenberg (Rosenberg Trio) carry on the tradition.
